Dina was born in Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she moved to Dix Hills on Long Island right before the end of her junior year. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her elder brother and Evan. Modeling was her first job in the industry. She did it from the age of 9 to 16. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock was among those who were trained by this method, as well as Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. She was cast in Beverly Hills in 90210, but had move from Los Angeles to take the part. In the next few months, she got the part in the role of Johnny Mnemonic. For this movie, she was responsible for nearly all stunts and demonstrated herself as an excellent actress. With the help of her agent, who manages Matt LeBlanc she scored a role as a guest star on Friends.
