Anne Celeste Heche was an American actor who is known for her performances across a range of categories in the film and television theatre. Anne Lockhart is an American actress. She was born Anne Kathleen Maloney on September 6th, 1953. She is best known for her role as Lieutenant Sheba on the TV show Battlestar Galactica ( 1978-1979). The actress' daughter is June Lockhart. Lockhart's professional career started very in the beginning. She was just four years old when her first acting role was in T is for Tumbleweed. This short film about a subject matter was nominated to win an academy award. Her mother invited her to a studio where she learned about the workings of the film industry. Lockhart appeared in many scenes of Lassie. Her debut film was Dora in Jory in 1972. The Sixth Sense was a program on television that was aired in 1972. When she was 18, she played Joan Crawford, Joan's daughter. It was Joan's last role as an actor. Anne had reportedly turned down Laurie Strode (John Carpenter's 1978 Halloween-themed thriller) as well as Jaime Lee Curtis took the part. The actor. Carpenter says that he wanted her for the role however she decided to turn it down. Anne can't remember John Carpenter having contacted her and offering the position. It could be that her agent turned the part off without notifying Anne. The character was weak enough to warrant her acceptance of the part. Later Glen wrote a new part exclusively for her featuring the character that was stronger, Sheba. The Living Legend, the first 25 pages of which she had already read, was immediately accepted. It ran for a single season. She co-starred in Joyride along with Desi Arnaz Jr., Melanie Griffith (the daughter of Desi Arnaz Jr. and Lucille Bell), Robert Carradine and Melanie Griffith in 1977 and in The Dark Tower with Michael Moriarty (1987).
